Understand Your Time
When you are working for yourself, you may not care too much about how much time things take as long as you are happy with the process. But when you want to run a business, it is important that you know.
I was working a lot and always made myself available, whenever something needed to be done or fixed even when it was 4 in the morning, I was there to do it. I was also always picking up slack, trying to push the car forward. But all of this comes at an expense. Not only do people adjust and it becomes mandatory, it also takes away from the time that you could have worked on your business or on yourself.
The effects.
Long term this can have big effects not only on your personal and business development, but also on your (mental)health & your relationships. But there is another problem.
You have no idea how much time you are actually spending. The idea of growing a business is that you hire people to do jobs for you, so you have time to work ON the business instead of IN the business. But if you have no idea how much time things take, you also don’t know if you are running a profitable business. Because you are guessing when budgeting a project.
