Play With People That Play The Same Game
Steve Jobs once said that A players enjoy playing with A players, they don’t want to play with B and C players.
When I was playing football (or soccer, however you want to call it), I very often had to play with people that... let’s just say weren’t having the same intention as me. That was frustrating.
But I was lucky enough to be selected for trainings of the national team, the difference in quality and mindset was day and night.
People play and work with different intentions. When these intentions are too far apart, it won’t work. They play a different game and on a different level. That cannot work as a team.
I believe everyone has their own qualities and everyone can develop themselves and you should give everyone the time to do so.
B and C players could pull themselves up to the A players, but if instead they hold the A players back, something has to change. It won’t be beneficial for anyone. There will be a lot of frustrations and the culture will deteriorate, leading to even worse performance. Be aware of this and take action when it happens.
Of course not every blog is going to be as good as the other one, just like every day is not going to be good as the other.
It is great if you want to help other people, but first you have to…
Almost everyone floats along, but is that the right thing to do..
I think we have to break out of this cage if..
Do you make some decisions too quickly and others too slow?
Projects can always go wrong, mistakes happen, accidents happen..
It is not that I don't enjoy the things I do, it is more that..
If you want to be successful at whatever you want to do really, there is no shot you will be if you are using this excuse.
