The weeks before Lex Live 2
It has been awhile since my last blog, mainly due to just being really busy with work. Not necessarily a bad thing, really been enjoying what I have been doing and the direction I am going towards. It has always been my idea to build a team of like minded people around me and slowly but surely that starts to structure itself. Also as time goes one, skills like managing, planning and communicating improve, as well as editing, graphics work, creativity and of course playing poker. Anyway, let's catch up with what has been going on before Lex Live 2.
I got back on track but have been really tired past few weeks
Last update has been a month ago and at the time I was struggling with knowing what I was doing it for. Numbers on Twitch had been pretty bad and over the past 2 years not shown too much growth, other platforms were doing fine but on a whole it felt like I was not getting anywhere. After I opened up about how I felt the support has been insane. Of course it also helped poker series were going on so morning streams were kinda uncontested. But the streams have been really good, the few days off I took did me well. I want to be energetic and positive on stream, like I used to be. But if you work so hard and long it starts to wear you out and it gets tougher and tougher to do, till a point you are not the person anymore you want to be. Every little setback is in your mind way bigger then than they actually are, it needed those few days off and quickly creativity and positive flooded back in. We started to make the $109 bounty our Main Event, which turned out to be a huge success. Winning it twice in 26 tournaments. But also I started to enjoy creating other types of content again more, the videos on social media for example became way more creative than they had been by adding movie clips to it for example.
The weeks before I went on the trip to London I was very often really tired though, probably just due to working 15 hours a day, 7 days a week. Not really exercising too much and probably due to lack of exercise just not being too hungry in general. So that is something I want to be working on. Walked a lot in London and to be honest feeling pretty good now. I also invested in a new chair (Ergohuman) before leaving and so far it has been really good, especially considering I sit so much in a day, probably worth having a good chair. So my goals for the coming time are probably going to the gym again and getting some exercise in. Also want to be eating better, usually I barely eat a slice of bread while streaming in the morning and afternoon. So I think by exercising more, my body will also require more nutrients and that way I will eat more and gain some mass and hopefully feel better.
In the coming days I will post about my trip to London for Lex Live 2, right now it is time to catch some sleep and recharge for tomorrow's stream. I am super excited to be back on the grind and bring more structure in my life. By creating a structure in the content, exercise, eating, content management, finances.. and that way build a more viable long term plan.
